Tenacity Herbicide Review [Summer 2022]
Tenacity Herbicide
Quick Summary
One of the more interesting herbicides on the market, Tenacity will help rid your yard of many species of broadleaf weeds as well as other undesirable weeds and grasses. Inexpensive, readily avialable and easy to apply, Tenacity will help you achieve a perfect looking yard that you can enjoy with friends and family.
Tenacity Herbicide is an herbicide that will kill weeds in your lawn without harming the grass that you want to keep. It has a very interesting mode of action, effectively preventing the plant from producing the clorophyl that helps it turn the sun's energy into food. This means that you'll quickly notice weeds that you spray losing their green color. They'll slowly fade from dark green to light green, finally ending up white before they die off. The process can feel like it's taking a long time when you're watching the change from day to day, but in the end you'll be impressed with the results as the weeds seemingly vanish from your yard.

The Good and the Bad
For every product that is reviewed on this site, I like to condense the information down so that you can spend less time reading reviews and spend more time enjoying your life with friends and loved ones.
I was able to come up with three positive highlights for the Tenacity Herbicide. On the other side of the coin, there were four areas for improvement that I was able to identify.
First, the positive highlights:
Things I liked
After taking a good look at Tenacity Herbicide, these are the positive things that stood out:
- Simple and easy to use, the product is very user-friendly and will generally not damage your yard if you get even remotely close to following the instructions.
- Convenient syringe comes with the product that makes it simple to mix the proper amount.
- Can be used on newly-seeded areas and with young grass without harm. It can be an essential tool in your toolbox if you have to renovate or overseed areas of your lawn. Weeds love the moisture and fresh soil that comes along with seeding.

And now, some things you might want to watch out for:
Things I didn't like
The downsides that I noticed after looking at Tenacity Herbicide were:
- Requires a pump sprayer, which not everybody has. You cannot currently buy a pre-mixed, ready-to-spray version of this product.
- If you're not familiar with mixing herbicides on your own, this will definitely add some time to the job. It's still pretty foolproof when it comes down to it, though, so I hesitated to even calling this out.
- Multiple applications may be required for best results.
- You might also have to buy other chemicals like a surfactant (something that helps the chemical stick to existing weeds) or spray indicator dye (so that you can tell where you've actually applied the product). These can double or even triple your costs compared to the price of Tenacity alone.
